Oklahoma Archivists Association

2017 Archives Bazaar

About

The inaugural Oklahoma Archives Bazaar, held on October 28 at the Oklahoma History Center, offered a dynamic lineup of activities aimed at engaging the public and raising awareness about the importance of archives. One of the day’s highlights was the Preservation 101 Workshop, held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., which provided attendees with practical guidance on caring for historical documents, photographs, and other materials. Archival institutions, museums, libraries, and historical organizations from across the state participated by hosting booths to showcase their collections and services. Alongside these exhibits, the event featured a variety of family-friendly activities and hands-on workshops, creating an educational and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
