The Oklahoma Archivists Association has teamed up with the Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County and the Oklahoma City Public Schools to collect and preserve archival materials from schools that were affected by the 2019 Pathway to Greatness reorganization plan. Materials have been collected from the school sites and processing is ready to begin.
OAA is seeking volunteers for weekend shifts of 4 hours each on July 13-14 at the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, you can sign up using this link. Volunteer work will consist of rehousing and describing photographs, bound volumes, loose documents and a limited number of items. A template for the finding aid will be provided, as well as assistance from the staff at the library. All archival materials and tools will be provided and more information about parking, etc, will be sent after the spots are filled. Thank you for offering your time!
