In an effort to begin monthly communications to RAAC representatives (and by extension, all the members of regional organizations) about all things advocacy related, the RAAC Advocacy Subcommittee looks forward to highlighting existing advocacy resources, articles on advocacy, and any “of the moment” advocacy issues.
This month we look back to last year and the “Archival Advocacy at Home” webcast. This free webcast presentation was originally broadcast on April 18, 2019, by members of the Joint Working Group on Issues and Awareness (a committee of CoSA, NAGARA, RAAC, and SAA). The purpose of the webcast is to prepare archivists with messaging ideas and other practical advice for contacting their Representative or Senator. Anyone with an SAA login (which can be obtained without needing to be a member) should be able to access the webcast.
