The State Partnerships and Outreach Committee bridges gaps between SSA and allied groups, and defrays SSA members’ conference costs with the SPOC Fund. SPOC needs a membership from diverse contexts in our region, including representation from Arizona and Oklahoma (although folks from any member state are welcome!). Committee members will have the opportunity to take SPOC into new, meaningful directions—including, but not limited to, connecting with community archives, creating funding opportunities for internships, and establishing relationships with organizations outside of the humanities. If you’re passionate about breaking down silos, raising awareness about the value of archives and archivists, and supporting fellow SSA members’ outreach initiatives, please join us!

Include a brief statement on why you are interested in the committee and highlight your connections with or knowledge of other allied groups, if applicable.
