OAA Archives Meet-Ups
Interested in meeting and networking with fellow archivists and information professionals? Starting this Friday, May 4th, OAA will be coordinating regular Archives Meet-Ups around the state. These will be very casual, informal events. We’ll meet at restaurants, coffee shops, and bars to chat and enjoy the good company of fellow OAA members!
The first meet-up is scheduled for this Friday, May 4th, from 6 – 9 PM at The Garage on Bryant Ave. in Edmond. Check out the Facebook Event and come out if you can!
OAA is also seeking volunteers to help coordinate these meet-ups around the state, specifically outside the OKC metro area. Anyone hoping to see a Meet-Up in their area will have a few very simple tasks:
- Identify a time and location for a meet-up
- Plan to attend the meet-up
- Coordinate with OAA Information Officer, Bailey Hoffner, to get a Facebook event and online promotion of the event
